Mrs. Elizabeth Fisher died at her home north of town on Thursday evening. Funeral services at th ehome on Saturday afternoon were conducted by Rev SK Fuson. Interment at Maple Ridge. Elizabeth Allen was born in Morgan County, Kentucky March 21, 1822. At the age of 5 she, with her parents, moved to Fountain County where she grew to womanhood and married Alfred Fisher June 6, 1846. Nine children were born to them, three of which died in infancy. Laura died Sept 19, 1886. In her early married life Mrs. Fisher and her husband united wit the Missionary Bapatist Church at Freedom and later were among the number who organized the Waveland church. Her home has always been near Waveland. Her life has been one of labor, love and motherhood in its truer sense. It has had its share of sufferings as well as joys. The former were borne with Christian patience, and the latter with thankfulness to the Giver of all good. - kbz
